Karina is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with a Master of Science degree in Reading Education from Barry University. Karina completed her graduate coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis at the Florida Institute of Technology. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies with a minor in Special Education from Florida International University.
Karina started her career as a Special Education teacher in 2011, working with children with varying disabilities in the private and public sectors. Her passion for working with children with special needs inspired her to begin a career in Applied Behavior Analysis in 2019. Since then, she has provided one-on-one behavior therapy in the home, school, and community settings to elementary-age children through adulthood with varying developmental disabilities.
In her free time, she enjoys walks on the beach with her husband, and spending quality time with her children. She also enjoys reading, cooking, and listening to music.
