Katie Browning has been working with individuals with disabilities across different age ranges from toddlers to adults for over 10 years. Katie received her bachelor’s degree from The University of Tennessee in Special Education in 2018. She then continued onto Vanderbilt University where she received a Master’s in Special Education with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis in 2020. Katie then became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and began teaching at a special education alternative school for students with diagnosed emotional disturbance and other disabilities that engage in high levels of aggression and other high intensity behaviors. Katie soon transitioned into the role of the school’s behavior specialist where she continued to serve students at the school while also supporting teachers in their behavioral assessment, intervention design, and intervention implementation. She now serves as a senior consultant for the Continuum team. Katie’s professional interests include functional communication training, trauma informed behavioral intervention, social skills training, and teacher/ parent/ caregiver training. When Katie is not working, she is spending time with her fiancé and two puppies, Tenley and Winston.
