Katie is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst who provides behavior services to individuals of all ages and abilities. Katie attended Southern Illinois University for her Bachelor of Science, received her Master of Arts in Teaching at National Louis University as well as her LBS 1 endorsement in special education and several content endorsements. She has worked in various public-school settings including general education classrooms, autism spectrum disorder programs, emotional and behavioral disability classrooms and behavioral consulting work with individual students with severe problem behavior. She has provided organizational behavior management services to public schools as well. Katie also has experience in community, clinic and home settings working with children with developmental disabilities. Katie’s many passions include continuing her own education, the education of not only stakeholders in autism, but also the general community. She teaches applied behavior analysis part time at a 4-year university and is always looking for ways to increase awareness and acceptance of all people and abilities. Katie’s education, research, and applied interest include trauma-informed care, skill-based treatment, treatment of severe problem behavior, and increasing the quality of life of families and individuals with autism. Katie is passionate about her work, and when away, spends time with her husband, 4 boys, and 5 dogs.
