Lindsey is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst with a Master of Education degree in Special Education and a graduate certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from George Mason University. Lindsey also holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a Minor in Linguistics from the University of Mary Washington.
Lindsey began her career in Applied Behavior Analysis in 2014 as a behavior technician with Continuum Autism Spectrum Alliance. Since then, she has accrued over 7 years of experience providing one-on-one behavior therapy in the home, school, clinic, and community settings to clients ranging from 3- 21 years of age that present with autism and/or other developmental disabilities. Lindsey is passionate about providing best practice and evidence-based interventions to all her clients.
Lindsey’s professional interests include teaching functional communication skills, fostering emotional regulation and self-management skills, and providing social skills training. Lindsey is a firm believer in using creativity and fun to enhance learning and strives to create an abundance of opportunities to pull reinforcing activities, items, and interactions into all sessions. She is passionate about creating personalized curriculums and behavior intervention plans tailored to each of her clients’ specific learning needs to best support them in reaching their full potential.
Lindsey’s personal interests include traveling and volunteering abroad, educating others about guinea pig care, and spending quality time with friends and family. When she is not working, she is most likely either curled up with a good book, experimenting with a new recipe in the kitchen, or spending time out on the water – like kayaking on the Potomac!
