Maliha is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who obtained her PhD in Special Education at The University of Iowa. During her Doctoral Program, she worked under her mentor, Dr. David Wacker, at the behavioral outpatient clinic in the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital. She moved to Virginia and joined as the EPSDT Behavioral Program Coordinator at a private, multi-cultural mental health agency. She developed, designed, and implemented the EPSDT (Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment Services) Behavioral Program which is Medicaid’s comprehensive and preventive child health program for individuals under the age of 21. She conducted trainings on home-based behavioral assessments and interventions for school staff, medical staff, and other professionals in related fields. She recruited quality mental health professionals and provided training to implement ABA services in the individuals’ homes and community. She is particularly interested in the areas of brief functional analysis, functional communication training, and parent training.
